I am using the Commander CORE with the 3 AIO and 3 front fan control and RGB plugged in to it that is plugged into a Commander Pro which then has a separate 6 port RGB hub connected to the Pro, the 7th fan header into the Pro and RGB header into the RGB hub. Hey all I have been scouring the net for help in this regard I have a 5000D Airflow case with 7 White ML120 Elite(8 LED), 3 on the 150i AIO and 3 on the front of the case with one as exhaust.

If corsair does decide to sell the commander core then I think they should get rid of that extra proprietary connector that connects to that one AIO pump which serves no purpose if you don't have the AIO which I'd imaging most people not needing a commander core if they had the Elite Capellix AIO cooler series (because it comes included with every type of AIO size in the Elite Capellix series).Īgain don't take my word on it because I have neither of the products but have been thinking to buy either the AIO that comes with the commander core or the commander pro in the near future, dependent on my needs :) But if you really need all those extra cable shenanigans, then go for the extra money to spend on the commander pro, as to have RGB control, you need the separate lighting node core to connect to the commander pro and it just really becomes a big mess.īut I think corsair should sell the commander core separately as I think not many people need that commander pro and/or are needing/willing to spend less money for a more affordable yet more cleaner device that fulfils all your needs completely. Obviously both suits different needs as if you only need RGB and fan control, the commander core would be better (Imaging it sold separately). But I'm not sure if you're able to change the different RGB and fan speeds (with the commander core) if you don't have the AIO connected to it, something to keep in mind if you'd think that this would become it's own product like the commander pro. I'm not 100% correct on this so don't quote me on this but I believe in order to use the new AIO pump for the H100i Elite Capellix (and the two other AIO sizes), you need to use the commander core as it has a proprietary connector that correlates with the pump head itself as the commander pro doesn't have this connector.
